Monthly Plans (Effective July 2025)

Starting in July 2025, Bugfender will introduce monthly plans featuring usage-based limits. If you're currently on a Daily plan, your account will continue with the daily limits as usual:

Bugfender uses a transparent and flexible pricing model designed to adapt seamlessly to your usage needs. This guide explains how our plans, monthly limits, pre-reserved log options, and billing structure work.

Terminology

  • Logs Volume: Refers to the total number of logs, issues, and user feedback data sent by your team.

  • Pre-reserved Logs: A predetermined amount of logs you pay for in advance at a discounted rate, billed monthly or annually. Your base plan includes a set amount of volume for each data category.

  • Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) Budget: The additional amount of logs your team uses beyond your pre-reserved logs. You only pay for what you use up to your PAYG budget

Note: Each crash report, issue, or user feedback submission counts as one log line toward your usage volume.

Bugfender Plans

Bugfender offers four plans tailored to different needs:

  • Free: Ideal for solo developers or very small teams.

  • Team: Suitable for startups or small teams prioritizing app quality.

  • Pro: Designed for agencies and product companies needing extra features.

  • Enterprise: For companies with enterprise-grade or custom requirements.

All paid plan include:

  • 10,000,000 monthly logs

  • Unlimited team members

  • Unlimited apps

Volume Pricing

Each paid plan includes 10 million logs per month. If usage exceeds this limit, logging and data capture continue based on your pre-reserved logs and PAYG budget.

Pre-reserved Logs

Pre-reserving logs provides significantly lower rates compared to standard pay-as-you-go pricing. Estimate monthly usage and purchase logs in advance to reduce overall costs. Additional usage beyond reserved logs is billed at standard PAYG rates.

Pay-as-you-go

With pay-as-you-go pricing you're billed based on the actual data volume your applications generates each month. There's no need to predict or commit to usage upfront, just send as much as you need, and you'll be billed accordingly.

  • TEAM Plan: Includes a fixed maximum PAYG budget based on your pre-reserved logs, offering flexibility while avoiding unexpected charges.

  • PRO and Premium Plans: Allow customization of your maximum PAYG budget based on anticipated extra log volume or budget constraints.

Important: Any logs sent after you've exhausted your pre-reserved volume and PAYG budget will be discarded, and you won't be charged for them. This means that you'll lose monitoring for the remainder of the billing cycle, so ensure your budget matches your anticipated volume.

Billing and Overages

  • Monthly Usage: Your base subscription covers a predefined data limit or pre-reserved amount. If you stay within this limit, you pay just your regular monthly fee.

  • Additional Usage (PAYG): Excess usage beyond monthly or reserved limits is billed incrementally as pay-as-you-go, clearly displayed in your billing section, invoiced in 1 million log increments.

Viewing and Managing Usage

You can monitor your usage and data limits directly from the Bugfender dashboard in the Team settings page:

  • Usage Summary: Track your data consumption in real-time.

  • Adjustments: Modify plans or change your PAYG budget based on real-time insights.

Examples

Here are a few practical examples to help clarify how Bugfender's pricing works:

Example 1: Staying Within Pre-reserved Logs

You are on the Team plan and have pre-reserved 10 million logs. Your application generates 8 million logs in a month. Since you are under your pre-reserved limit, you pay only the base subscription fee. No PAYG charges apply.

Example 2: Using PAYG Budget

You are on the Pro plan and have pre-reserved 10 million logs with an additional PAYG budget of 3 million logs. In one month, your usage reaches 12.5 million logs. You will be charged the base subscription plus 3 million logs of PAYG usage (2.5 rounded up in 1M increments) at the rate of your plan.

Example 3: Exceeding Limits

You are on the Team plan with 10 million pre-reserved logs and a fixed PAYG budget of 1 million logs. In a high-traffic month, your usage reaches 12.5 million logs. Only the first 11 million logs (10M pre-reserved + 1M PAYG) will be processed. The remaining 1.5 million logs will be discarded, and you will not be charged for them.

Billing Cycles

Billing cycles align with your chosen plan, typically monthly or annually. For annual plans, pay-as-you-go usage will be invoiced monthly.
