Bugfender has not been designed as an analytics product, but it provides some basic statistics derived directly from the activity of gathering logs.

Statistics can be viewed in two time frames:

  • Last 30 days

  • Last 12 months

Statistics from the last 30 days

Daily statistics are counted for days starting at 0:00 and ending at 23:59 UTC time. These are the data points available:

  • Logs by timestamp*: number of logs that SDKs have collected, bucketed by timestamp

  • Sessions created*: number of sessions created every day. It is possible for a session to span multiple days

  • Daily active devices: number of devices that have pinged the Bugfender server

  • Crashes*: number of crashes generated per day

  • Issues*: number of issues generated per day

  • User Feedback*: number of user feedback generated per day

  • Logs processed by Bugfender: number of logs received at the Bugfender servers each day. Note this uses the server's clock, and there may be logs received from previous days, so this metric is usually similar to "Logs by timestamp," except when you're receiving logs from previous days. This metric is used for billing.

* Note that the Bugfender SDK can work offline; therefore, these statistics may vary when logs generated offline are sent to the Bugfender servers.
Also, because the data is collected potentially offline, the timestamps are based on the logging device's clock (even when the device is online). Therefore, if a device is set to an incorrect time, events may be counted on the wrong bucket.

Statistics from the last 30 days are recalculated at least hourly.

Statistics from the last 12 months

Monthly statistics are counted by natural months, starting on day 1 and ending on the last day of the month, UTC time. Note not all months have the same number of days.

The data points available are sums of the equivalent metric collected daily.

Note that the Daily active devices metric is, consistent with the other metrics, the sum of the "Daily active devices" metric for all the days of the month. This metric is not the "Monthly active devices."

Statistics from the last 12 months are recalculated at least daily.
